Hadrone PPM is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our customers. We are pleased to announce that the latest version of our software is now available! Once again, we have enriched the tool with valuable features announced in our roadmap. We have also introduced changes that stemmed from our own ideas as well as ongoing feedback from our Customers.
1. Project card generation
We have introduced the ability to generate a project card for saving or printing. Users can choose the scope of information that will appear in the card once it has been generated.
2. Integration with files in MS Teams
The integration with files in MS Teams enables access to files in the team and channel linked to a given project. From within Hadrone PPM, it is also possible to add files directly to the team and channel in MS Teams.
Additionally, files can be linked to the following project elements in Hadrone PPM:
- activity and milestone,
- task,
- risk,
- benefit,
- decision,
- RAG report,
- project closure report (all sections).
3. Private notes in a project
We have introduced the ability to add private notes within a project, visible only to the user who created them. Notes can also be color-coded.
4. Private notes on project status evaluation in portfolio and MyDashboard
We have added the option to create private notes regarding the evaluation of project status in the Portfolio and MyDashboard modules, visible only to the user who created them. Notes can also be color-coded.
5. Fixed section height for classifications in a project
Previously, working with project classifications that had many values (sometimes hundreds) was cumbersome due to excessive scrolling.
We have now introduced fixed section heights when editing classifications. Each classification always occupies a defined maximum height, allowing only the classification values themselves to be scrolled. This significantly improves the usability of working with classifications containing many values.
6. Option to shift expenses and competencies when changing project start date
Previously, when changing the project start date, planned expenses and competencies were automatically shifted to match the new start date.
While this behavior was often desirable, it was not always appropriate. Therefore, we have introduced an option that allows users to choose whether planned expenses and competencies should be shifted automatically when the project start date changes.
7. Extended local account password management
We have expanded password management for local accounts used in SaaS instances and On-Premises instances without MS Active Directory integration. The enhancements include:
- setting a minimum password length,
- allowing users to create their first password,
- enabling users to reset their own password,
- sending a new link to set a password,
- blocking login after incorrect password attempts,
- forcing password change when outdated,
- notifying users about account security status,
- displaying the last failed login attempt in the user profile,
- logging user login history.
8. Expanded API
We have added an API method that allows importing actual expenses without automatically linking them to planned expenses - users can manually assign imported expenses to planned ones (similar to the current CSV import process).
Additionally, we have added a method to retrieve a list of project schedule templates, as well as a method to use these templates to create a schedule in a project. Other API methods have also been updated to reflect changes resulting from the expansion of existing features.
9. Introduction of Webhook Technology
A webhook is a way for an application (in this case, Hadrone PPM) to provide other applications with real-time information. A webhook delivers data immediately when a change occurs, eliminating the need for repeatedly pulling data through the API to check for updates.
10. Other changes introduced in the latest version
- added the "Project Verification" permission for Sub-portfolio Representatives,
- progress reporting of activities in the project schedule from the "..." menu,
- ability to copy text when adding a new project goal and scope proposal,
- increased the maximum length of expense category names from 50 to 255 characters,
- changed the order of sections in project benefit details,
- added the ability to delete users along with anonymization of their data (previously only deactivation was available, which still remains).
