We are pleased to announce the release of the new version of our software, Hadrone PPM v2.48!
This update brings numerous improvements and new capabilities developed thanks to the commitment of our team and the valuable feedback from our users. The new version offers even greater flexibility in managing projects, programs, and portfolios - all designed to make your daily work more efficient and intuitive.

1. Custom sections in project RAG reports [ROADMAP 2025]

We’ve added the ability to define custom sections in RAG reports. This new functionality allows you to create and use custom fields (presented as sections) in project RAG reports. These fields are configured in the form of schemas and can be assigned to both projects and project templates.

When creating or editing a RAG report, users can choose from fields defined in the schema assigned to the project. This makes it possible to structure RAG reports according to the specific needs of your organization. By using different schemas, you can also display different fields in RAG reports for different project types.

2. Project schedule - outline numbering [ROADMAP 2025]

We have introduced outline-based numbering for project schedule elements, following their hierarchy in the schedule structure (e.g., 1, 1.1, 1.2, 1.2.1, etc.). This simple but practical improvement enhances readability and makes it easier to navigate complex project schedules.

3. Assigning a project to multiple programs [ROADMAP 2025]

It is now possible to assign a single project to multiple programs. Previously, each project could only be linked to one program. This change provides greater flexibility in managing interrelated initiatives.

4. Project suspension history [ROADMAP 2025]

We have expanded the project suspension functionality to include a full history of suspensions, with detailed information such as the start and end dates, reason for suspension, and the user who performed the action. Full transparency and easy access to historical data make project tracking more convenient for project managers.

5. Suspending programs [ROADMAP 2025]

We have introduced the ability to suspend entire programs, similar to how project suspensions work. Users can also review the suspension history for each program.

6. Program and portfolio decisions [ROADMAP 2025]

We’ve added the ability to manage decisions at the program and portfolio levels, similar to the existing project decision functionality.

A shared decision-maker dictionary is available for all decision types, with the option to assign specific decision-makers for use within project, program, or portfolio decisions.
Separate dictionaries of decision types are maintained for projects, programs, and the portfolio.

Program-level decisions are managed within the program, while portfolio-level decisions can be accessed in a new Management” tab within the Portfolio section. We have also expanded the portfolio monitoring view to allow users to review all decision types - project, program, and portfolio.

7. Portfolio management [ROADMAP 2025]

A new Management” option has been added to the Portfolio menu, providing access to several key features (organized in separate tabs):

  • Outdated projects
  • Suspended projects
  • Suspended programs
  • Portfolio decisions

The Outdated Projects tab includes the same functionality previously available in the Portfolio Monitoring view.

In the Suspended Projects tab, you can view all currently suspended projects along with their suspension history. Projects can be filtered - for example, to show only those whose suspension period has ended or those without any suspension dates defined. The Suspended Programs tab works in the same way for programs.

The Portfolio Decisions tab allows you to add, edit, and delete portfolio-related decisions, similar to how project-level decisions are managed today. We’ve also expanded system logs to include the portfolio area. Access to portfolio management features requires appropriate permissions.
