Hadrone PPM version v2.50 is now available!
We are pleased to announce the release of the new version of our software, Hadrone PPM v2.50!
This release introduces new functionalities and improvements in project management. The key new feature is person engagement management, enabling the planning and control of resource utilization and the analysis of workload. In addition, the areas of scheduling, project templates, task and competence management have been further developed, while data control has been strengthened and analytics expanded, resulting in greater efficiency in day-to-day work.
1. Managing the engagement of people in projects together with workload analysis [ROADMAP 2025]
Person engagement management includes:
planning the use of people’s working time in a project, including requesting approval to assign a person to a project for a specific amount of time,
accepting or rejecting requests to assign a person to a project for a specific amount of time by a resource manager or a person with additional permissions, together with a simulation of the impact of accepting the request on the use of that person’s working time before making the decision,
viewing the level of assignment of people to projects, including identifying overloads, meaning assignments exceeding the person’s full-time equivalent.
Additionally, it is possible to define a given person’s full-time equivalent and assign a resource manager to that person.
2. Change request – selecting specific milestones and activities for baseline plan updates [ROADMAP 2026]
Until now, it was possible to accept changes to the project baseline plan only as a whole.
After the introduced changes, it is still possible to accept all schedule changes at once, but additionally, it is now possible to select specific activities and milestones whose baseline plan should be updated, separately for start and end dates.
3. Tasks in the project schedule template [ROADMAP 2026]
The functionality of project schedule templates has been extended to include Tasks.
The user can add, edit, and delete Tasks directly in the schedule template, in the Activity details.
Tasks created in the schedule template are later copied to the project together with the schedule during import from the template.
Tasks are also created in the template when creating a new schedule template based on an existing project.
4. Quick deactivation/activation of all competences when deactivating/activating a Competence Centre [ROADMAP 2026]
When attempting to deactivate a Competence Centre, an authorized user has access to an option allowing the simultaneous deactivation of assigned competences, if any have been defined. After selecting this option and confirming, all competences assigned to the Competence Centre are deactivated together with the centre itself. If the option is not selected, only the Competence Centre is deactivated, as before.
Similarly, when activating a Competence Centre, an authorized user has access to an option allowing the simultaneous activation of assigned competences, if any have been defined. After selecting this option and confirming, all competences assigned to the Competence Centre are activated together with the centre itself. If the option is not selected, only the Competence Centre is activated, as before.
Additionally, an extra attribute has been added to the API methods “Activate a competence centre” and “Deactivate a competence centre”(deactivate all competences / activate all competences).
5. Quick change of task assignees [ROADMAP 2026]
We have introduced the ability to quickly and conveniently manage task assignee assignments, for example in situations such as personnel changes, work reorganization, or project clean-up. This functionality reduces the need to manually edit individual tasks and shortens the time required to update task assignees.
Quick task assignee changes include replacing one person with another, as well as adding or removing a given assignee’s assignment to tasks. It also takes into account assigning competences to the task assignee.
This functionality is available in the following locations: Project >> Tasks, Project >> Schedule >> Activity >> Tasks, and My Dashboard >> Tasks >> Assigned Tasks.
6. Configurable blocking of the ability to close a project reporting period
We have introduced functionality that blocks the ability to close a reporting period in a project if, when closing the period, it turns out that the project contains:
- imported but unassigned expense items,
- outdated schedule elements,
- expenses with discrepancies between forecast and actual values,
- competences with discrepancies between forecast and actual values,
- overdue risks.
The block preventing the closure of a reporting period is configured in the project: Gear icon >> Configuration >> Blocking the ability to close the reporting period, as well as in project templates within the settings. These settings are also available when creating a project.
The above block does not apply to the mass closing of reporting periods performed from the project portfolio level.
Initially, all existing projects have this block disabled by default.
7. Stacked chart for a competence centre
In Competence Analysis, we have added a stacked chart showing competence utilization in individual months of a given year. As part of the analysis, the user can choose the data analysis mode: table, as before, or chart.
8. Filtering by classifications in portfolio management
In portfolio management, on the screens for outdated and suspended projects, we have added the ability to filter by project classifications, analogous to other screens.
9. Length of project and task priority names
We have changed the character limit for project and task priority names that can be defined in the configuration from 9 to 255.
